Winter Concert at San Marcos High School

Our Winter Concert will be held on November 19 at San Marcos High School. Don’t forget to use the practice aid for “Where Never Lark or Eagle Flew”. The link is on the Home Page of our website. Jeff has given us some challenging music this time!!

Pops Band

POPS Band We ended our regular Pops Band season with a wonderful concert at Marvilla on September 15. Here’s what Karen had to say about our performance.

“Thank you for another successful Pops Concert last night at Marvilla! The weather cooperated this time and we were done before it got too dark. Great solos by John Brunner, Marguerite and John Ritchie! A big shout out to Mary Jane and Barb for holding down the percussion fort and to Mid and Joe for holding down the trombone parts minus one! The audience was small but appreciative and I received many compliments on your performance. We had a great rehearsal Tuesday night, one of the best, and we were able to apply that to our performance last night.

Thanks for being willing and able to volunteer your time to the Pops Band. Our next Pops Concert will be in February at Samarkand. See you then!”

We will be playing in the Veterans Parade on Sunday, November 12. Be sure to sign up!

October marks the beginning of our next dues cycle, so get your dues ($100) in to Gretchen.

URGENT - New Recording Engineer Still Needed

As we mentioned in the last Quarternote, we have an urgent need for someone to serve as our Recording Engineer (recording our dress rehearsals and concerts). Do you have a spouse, relative or friend that would like to do this? If so, please contact John Ritchie.
